As we were traveling between locations one late afternoon in France, I noticed a spot of red between the trees up ahead. I was surprised to find a huge field of bright red poppies in bloom so late in the year! I turned off of the main road and found the perfect painting spot, showcasing the bright red against the misty afternoon sunset.
